Lode Kennes is a CTO in Geel, Belgium. This site — lodekennes.com — is his personal record. It is not a company homepage, not a product, and not a consultancy brochure. The name on the domain, the name in search, and the name on the paper are the same.

He is CTO of Nexa Legal, a litigation-AI company founded in Antwerp in August 2025. He built the AI architecture, came in as a shareholder in December 2025, and took the CTO seat. In February 2026 the company raised one million euros from RDY Ventures, Volta Ventures and PMV. The product is narrow on purpose: it walks a litigator through a case, cites its sources, and keeps the lawyer liable for the argument.

The twelve years before that are plotted on the record. PayIvy, a marketplace for digital goods that took Bitcoin, was sold to NewNote Financial in July 2015 — before he enrolled in a computer science degree at Thomas More. CodeChamp paid for the degree. Then SmartWithFood, OTN Systems (now part of Belden), Axxes, AdminPulse, Tech Tribes, Intellua. At the peak in 2020 he ran five roles at once. The line comes back down to one.

He works in Dutch, English, French and German. He builds products, not research: retrieval over legislation and case files, document processing, long-running workflows, on hardware he can reach.
